Starting from 1 September 2016 Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Centre operates in three different towns - Jõhvi, Sillamäe and Narva. The reorganization of the three schools in these towns into a single VET Centre significantly widens the scope and opportunities for international cooperation for both the learners and staff, as well as the foreign partners.
International cooperation and project activities at Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Centre are run by the development department.
The unified VET Centre has quite a long experience in implementing international projects under various EU programmes (Leonardo da Vinci, Interreg IV A, Comenius, Grundtvig, etc) which creates a solid ground for further project activities. In 2015 Narva Vocational Training Centre was awarded the VET Mobility Charter 2015-2020 by Archimedes Foundation, as an acknowledgement of successful project management and internationalisation strategy.
In spring 2016 Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Centre in cooperation with specialists from Narva Vocational Training Centre developed the new internationalisation strategy and submitted the application for VET Mobility Charter 2016-2021 for the newly established VET Centre.
Eramus+ programme lies in the basis of project activities at Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Centre. The programme aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernizing education, training, and youth work. Project activities with various partner institutions enable us to develop the professional skills and competences of the VET staff and enhance the employability of our learners. They have an opportunity to attend a wide variety of vocational trainings and language courses in different EU states and neighboring countries.
